This is a practical walkthrough of app.humansignal.com — the Workforce platform contributors use to find paid work, complete labeling tasks, and get paid.
Before you dive in: this guide covers the Contributor (Workforce) platform specifically. It's a different product from the open-source Label Studio annotation tool or the Enterprise data-labeling suite that most of HumanSignal's public documentation covers. If you've read the Label Studio docs and things don't match what you're seeing here, that's why — you're in the right place.
Your Home dashboard
When you log in, you land on Home — your personal command center. At a glance, it shows a daily summary, your wallet balance, how many active projects you're part of, and a tabbed list of work: Work Available, Upcoming, and Completed.
Each project card shows its status, how many items are available, and the pay rate per annotation where applicable, along with a Start button that drops you straight into the task queue.
Heads up: projects only show up here once you've been added to them. It's completely normal for Work Available to be empty until you've qualified for a project — that's not a bug or a sign something's wrong. Keeping your profile and Skills & Expertise up to date is the best way to improve your chances of being added.

Main navigation
The left-hand hamburger menu (☰) is your main navigation hub, organized into a few clear zones:
- Get Started — brings you back to Home
- Available work — the full Projects list
- Account — Profile, Skills & Expertise, Payments
- Utility links at the bottom: API, Docs, Support, and a Pin menu toggle
