Adding a payment method is one of the requirements for activation, but not the only one. Here's how the pieces fit together.
What payment setup does unlock
- The Payments area — once a payout method is on file, you can track earnings from approved work through to payout. If you visit Payments before setup is complete, the platform prompts you to finish the earlier steps first.
- Pay rate visibility — completing your tax information (the step before adding a payout method) is what clears the "Rate Pending" label on projects.
What full activation requires
All three onboarding steps must be complete: identity verification, tax information, and payment method. Payment setup alone doesn't activate your account if identity verification is still pending.

Check your status
